Bartender Interview: Cole Newton

The Open Tab bartender interview series goes to Twelve Mile Limit in New Orleans to talk with head bartender and owner Cole Newton. Learn about Cole’s path to becoming a bartender and opening Twelve Mile, along with a delicious demo of his bar’s most-ordered cocktail, The Baudin (recipe transcribed below).
- ½ oz. lemon juice
- ¾ oz. honey syrup*
- dash of Tabasco
- 1 ½ oz. bourbon
Add ingredients to a shaker, shake, and strain into a glass. Garnish with lemon peel.
* Honey syrup can be made by dissolving 2 parts honey to 1 part hot water
