Posted on December 5, 2013
On this day, the 80th anniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition, I think it’s worth remembering all the plans thirsty folks made in order to “stay wet” when the whole country was going dry. This ditty, sung by Bert Williams, is one of dozens of tunes of the time that approached the challenges created by the new amendment with good old American ingenuity. Can’t buy liquor at the store?
